Moving to Itch!

After a bit of struggling (mostly with Unity), I’ve gotten Real-Time Stomping (formerly Raid, because my head was about to explode if I hear one more “shadow legends”) onto Itch!

I’m still deciding what the exact model is going to be – regular releases of the game will be free for the foreseeable future, but I might put preview builds of the upcoming update behind a paywall. Still figuring that out!

I will try to post devlogs whenever anything really interesting makes it into the preview build.

The latest one adds basic map generation (like, really basic: it just splats some resource piles down).

It also improves AI behavior quite a bit when it comes to assigning tasks. Multiple villagers can now be assigned to construct a single building, and they will divert to a new task if they see one much closer than their current assignment.

Here’s an example of what the AI currently does. That depot is too close to the town center! Must adjust things…

The opposite does not currently happen, though. If you place a villager next to a blueprint that a distant villager is approaching, the new villager won’t take over. Gotta figure that one out.

I’m feeling pretty good about alpha 9, but I don’t have any dates in mind yet.

Get Real-Time Stomping
