Experimental build: hiiiiiiiiii

I’m baaaaaaaaack!

You can expect regular updates to resume. I’m planning to get a public build out within a few weeks.

I have not pushed a build in a hot minute, so there may be some hilariously broken thing I missed. Let me know if anything is busted and I’ll fix it up over the weekend.

New stuff

I’m playing around with giving every kind of vore a proper “gulp” animation, instead of just…motionlessly pulling the prey deeper. Oral vore now has a jerking gulp animation.

Fixes

  • Visual/aural alerts no longer get stuck when switching which entity you are possessing
  • Unpossessing now puts the spectator behind the entity, rather than flinging it back to where it used to be
  • Axis labels for some things like traits and motives were not displaying properly. They show up now.
  • Fen’s thrusting action only works while CV is enabled. It also only works if there is prey in the cock or balls.
  • Containers (e.g. stomachs) were only looking at one prey when calculating fullness. They now sum up fullness properly again

Background stuff

I’ve been getting rid of duplicate code used for things like settings sliders. This gave me a chance to pretty it up a little:

  • Durations can now be shown as things like “3s”, “6m10s”, “Instant”, and “Forever”
  • Logarithmic sliders (used for things like digestion time) can now go to zero or infinity

I spent a decent bit of time working on more automatic checks, which help to catch places where I forgot to assign something or didn’t provide a localized string. I can’t catch every error, but I can certainly find some of them (:

Future stuff

I am still working on the new “body” system to allow for growth to happen. I need to go back and make a bunch of systems correctly handle any size of entity.

There’s going to be direct absorption for cock vore, but it currently causes a weird error when the (completely absorbed) prey tries to get pulled down into the balls anyway. Oops. I will have to figure that out.
