New game!


Predatory Pursuit is going to be a horror-y game in the same vein as Alien: Isolation, but with way, way, way more vore in it.

The long-term plan is for the player to be hunted in an enclosed environment, with lots of ways to hide and evade the monster. In turn, the monster will get used to distractions and try to catch you off-guard.

And then there’s lots of eating, of course.

I’ll be posting devlogs each time I add a major feature. Here’s all of the stuff that’s been added up to this point:

  • Audio occlusion system that dampens sounds based on the length of a walkable path between the source and destination, with an additional penalty for going around corners
  • A sight system that lets you hide in the dark (but the monster’s eyes will adapt to the darkness eventually!)
  • A big monster (my fursona). It has to duck through hallways
  • The monster can interact with the environment, such as by putting its hand on a rafter as it ducks underneath
  • You can spawn prey, either AI-controlled or player-controlled
  • Prey are tracked individually in the monster’s stomach; the monster gains weight while digesting prey

I’m sure there’s some other stuff in there, but that’s the gist of it. I’m building out lots of systems right now, so it’ll be a bit frantic for a while!
