Experimental build: Spatial audio improvements


I’ve been working on the spatial audio. The muffling and reverb effects are stronger now. Additionally, when you set it to “full”, it will reposition the sound sources to make them sound like they’re actually coming around the corner.

You can configure how much spatialization you want, as well as adjust the intensity of the muffling and reverb.

I’d just use Steam Audio, but it doesn’t work on M1 macbooks, unfortunately. Maybe someday! I’d love to have proper spatialization.

Other random things:

  • I added some extra crunches to the end of digestion if you have Digestion Intensity set to “gory”
  • Trying to sprint backwards will end the sprint, rather than making you stand still
  • Digestion sounds now trigger properly when prey dies or digests. It was checking if any prey died (0 liveness) in a block that only ran when prey were digested (0 integrity). Oops.
