Experimental build: A big re-write!
I’ve just uploaded a new experimental build. This is a work-in-progress snapshot of the big rewrite that I started (and then got sidetracked from) a few months ago.
A lot of content is missing. Notably, Fen can’t do any gory or violent actions and there are no internal views. These will come back over time – I’ve got to re-do a lot of stuff from the ground up! I didn’t remove the settings menu entries for these things, so those toggles will do nothing for the moment!
The stable build of the game will remain available until we’re back at feature parity, so don’t worry about losing access to that.
Also, for those who’ve donated enough to get in the credits – I’ll get you in soon! I didn’t get your names added earlier in the week, and things are very hectic today.
New Modes
You can now play as any character – so, right now, you can play as one of the gryphon prey, or as Fen.
To play as Fen, either pick the “Hunt” game mode, or pick the “Sandbox” game mode, spawn Fen in, and possess it. See below for more.
Director Mode
Director mode (mostly) replaces the old debug mode. You can turn it on by hitting tab when playing a sandbox game.
Press the number keys to switch modes. The modes are:
- 1: Freecam. Fly around with the movement and look controls.
- 2: Spawn. Pick a creature type in the top left, then click to spawn one.
- 3: Possess. Click on a creature and then click “Possess” to take control of it. Hit backspace to go back to “spectator mode”.
- 4: Sensations. This is used to test senses out – you can make noises with it right now.
New Controls
- To perform actions, you just push R. R to grab, R to eat, R to make a loud noise as prey, etc. I will be doing something much more elaborate in the future, but I need to figure out how that’s gonna work first!
- You can un-possess a creature by hitting backspace.
New Stuff
You now see indicators for being spotted and for being heard, as seen here:
I built a new fancy debug menu. Hit ` to access it, as usual.
Creatures can now have relationships. Currently, Fen starts out neutral towards prey, but very quickly gets hungry and attacks them.
Creatures can now gain “memories”, which are longer-lasting than perceptions. Fen loses track of you, it will randomly wander around the room you were in.
What next?
I’ve got lots of work to do here, but I’m going to focus on making the vore really nice (because that’s what we’re all here for, after all).
Keep an eye out for more, but it’ll probably be a few weeks until that happens!

when will this come to the free version? along with everything else??
i cannot posses fen
Great to see an update! One thing I noticed is that my mouse sensitivity has greatly increased when compared to the previous version, while no settings have been changed. Apart from that, I'm very excited to continue playing!
I'm absolutely EXCITED to see these new modes being implemented! And I'd love to see there being multiple predators since we can have multiple prey. <3
