Experimental build: I have a cold. And some new stuff!


I have a cold. I am very tired. This will be a short one!

There’s a new experimental build up. It includes some general improvements:

  • You’ll now see action prompts when you can do something. So, you’ll see a “grab” prompt if you’re controlling Fen and get near something you can grab.
  • I’ve implemented a new objective system. Currently, you’ll just see one objective: to not get eaten in Pursuit mode.
    • Everyone can have objectives, so Fen’s going to have a “digest the player” objective (:
  • The dev room is no longer just a cube. It actually has some light and dark places to move around in!
  • I messed with Fen’s gut a bit. I will be continuing to mess with Fen’s gut.

Some things that are partially implemented, and should be landing next week:

  • Once I’m done figuring out interactions again, objectives will tell you what you need to do to escape the scene.
  • Game modes are configurable, but you can’t actually configure the game mode before starting the game. I’ll add an interface for that soon.

I’m going to be working on objectives and things-to-do in the Pursuit game mode. Think of how Dead by Daylight works!
