Bones, stamina, and new maps

The preview build has been updated. Here’re the major features:

New maps

There are two new maps. “Corridors” is a sci-fi-y map with some air vents to crawl through. “Village” is a foggy village surrounded by mountains. Both are pretty bare-bones right now, so they’ll probably be built out further in the future.

Bones

Fen coughs up bones! Lots of bones, if so desired.. These are disabled by default, so check the content settings if you’re interested.

Hypno changes

Getting hypnotized now forces you to walk towards Fen. Try not to stare for too long.

Note that I’ve moved from the hypno setting from the “content” section to the “difficulty” section and given some options for how strong the effect is.

Stamina

Tap space while running to sprint. It’s fast – and loud.

The game now has a stamina system. You can’t run forever! Energy is consumed by running and sprinting. Oxygen is consumed to restore energy. The higher your heartrate, the faster you restore oxygen…and the easier it gets for Fen to hear your breathing. Read more here.

(note that there aren’t any audible breathing sounds right now)

New UI

You can now see your heartrate, oxygen, and energy on the bottom-left. You can also see how visible and audible you are to Fen in bottom-right.

I’ll probably add an option to make the gauges larger, since they are a little small.

Other stuff

I’ve enabled crash reporting (hopefully). Assuming it’s actually working, it’ll submit logs when the game dies. This should help me to track down some of the issues people have been reporting.

However, manual reports are still appreciated, as described on the game’s page.
